CHAPTER 08 · KANON’S AION 2 BIBLE

On this page 9 sections

Pet Genus is a horizontal system that gives a lot of power. You have 5 boards - Cogni, Fera, Natura, Varian, Special. You can literally just think of this as Boards 1-5.

Each board will have 9 stats that they can roll called “Slots” (or “Lines” as we refer to them as). Each Line (slot) has its own respective stat pool to roll from. As you level up your “Insight” (the blue bar, commonly referred to as Genus level), you unlock more Lines (slots) and the ability to roll higher grade stats on those Lines (slots).

When you click the yellow Analyze button, you roll random stats with random grades relative to your Insight level for all open Lines. You may lock a Line by clicking on the lock icon to the left of the stat. The more stats you lock, the more expensive the next roll becomes

The goal is to get your Genus level to 10 for all the boards then fish for the best stats for each slot (9 slots, 5 boards).

ASIA SERVER BIS GENUS LINES

Step 1 (KR/TW)

Level your board to 10 and ignore the stats you get, do not lock any line until you do this

The exception to the above is:

If progression on global is too slow to the point where level 10 isn’t possible or practical to wait for

You get a high yellow or orange BIS stat roll on Line 4 (all boards, bis stats are listed below)

Saving until level 10 gives you the highest chance to roll the highest grade lines

Step 2 (KR/TW)

After hitting level 10 on a board, “Analyze” (roll) it with no stats locked until you roll the BIS stats on Line 4 across all boards

Highest Prio Line 4 Boards are Special (Double Chance) and Varian (Front/Back Damage Boost) followed by Fera (Weapon Damage Boost) and Cogni (Critical Damage Boost)

Some people settle for lower % rolls on their Line 4 rolls for their first preset then work on higher % rolls on a second preset.

Keep in mind a high Yellow roll can be higher than a low Orange roll

Lines 2, 5, 8: Max Attack > Attack Bonus

Lines 6: Damage Tolerance

BIS Lines (slots) to shoot for on Special Board (5th Board)

Lines 3, 9: Double Chance

Lines 6: Damage Tolerance

Pet Passive “Owned Effects”

Pets also have an “Owned Effects” system where you get passive stats as you unlock and level up more Pets. This can be leveled up by simply farming mobs or obtaining Pet-related rewards from a variety of content.

For Global launch, the max level is 3 and at max you get a Pantheon Stat - focus on Might and Precision first. All Cogni mobs give you 1 Might each, all Natura mobs give you 1 Precision each.

You can find the location for these mobs by selecting Source. If the mob does not show a source, it is on the other faction’s land.
